Dr. Madan Gandhi - DANCE AND DANCE

Many a star fall
as I dancing whirl and whirl
to the farthest constellation
but I keep my feet fixed
even as I touch the roof.

In the luscious garden
the serpents twining to the trees
listen the celestial notes from the reed
their hoods swaying with the rustle of leaves

The dervishes
donning the dancing gowns
with unearthly entourage
dizzyingly whirl
from the dusk to dawn

Inebriated I dance mad divine
fly with the sky
bathed in the light of a million suns
play hide and seek
in and out of the floor of heaven.
