Dr John Celes - Winter is Near!

Oh, the month of December has begun!
The air is chill and nights are turning cold;
And soon, it will be freezing, misty, with snow!
The holidays are just around the corner!

And children have already begun dreaming-
Of how they ought to spend the Christmas this year;
And decorate their christmas-tree and build
A mighty snow-man that will instil fear!

And Santa Claus is coming with his sledge,
Pulled by reindeers, flying in the night Sky;
He is taking a list of the many presents,
To get readied before the Christmas day!

The trees are losing all their leaves, look bare;
Birds songs are vanishing and seem so rare;
The nights are long and chilly all the more,
A gorgeous dress, all children will soon wear!

Born was a baby in a manger cold!
He brought joy to the world and peace to men!
'He would forgive sins, '- the prophets foretold,
Redeeming souls and take them to heaven!
