DPMM objects Mara to split

The Malay Chamber of Commerce Malaysia (DPMM) has urged the government to maintain Majlis Amanah Rakyat (Mara) as a single agency under the monitoring of one ministry.

in a joint media conference with the the presidents of DPMM’s state chapter on Thursday, DPMM’s Research and Development Foundation chairman Datuk Syed Ali AlAttas said Mara has always operated holistically and is interdependent, therefore the removal of any divisions would affect its overall goal of uplifting the Malay community.
