we meet amid spaces
of time in our lives
leaving behind traces
of love and light
soon I'll be driving by
passing the signs
in the sunlight
with you on my mind
I'm shifting gears
trying to keep track
thinking about the years
and watching my back
out on mainstreet
traveling everywhere
on the concrete
trying to get there
day by day fades
as we watch it
and make our way
trying to catch a bit
of the love and traces
and the sunshine
between the spaces
of our lifetime
