She couldn't let me go
I couldn't leave home
We were both afraid
To lose each other
But in my life nothing has amounted
I've been waiting for her to push me
She's been waiting for me to make a move
We have clashed almost every time we've tried to talk about it
Other times just remained silent
We are watching each other
Dying inside to speak
I wish I could tell her,
Talk to her with the confidence that I write with
She would not understand
Would have called my sentences stupid and told me to remain
I would have listen and nothing would have changed
She calls me son and I call her mother
We have no names
No trust
