Petra Cortright’s online works have pushed convention and boundaries, exploring alternate reality through conceptual video creations – we’re talking warped webcams and internet experiments. In her paintings she approaches the classical subject matter of the figure and landscape with the rapidity and fluidity of the digital tools employed to create them. Previously exhibiting at the New Museum, Venice Biennale, Biennale de Lyon, and Los Angeles County Museum of Art, Petra has now joined with Stella McCartney to become our latest contributor. Starting with AUTUMN 2014, the Los Angeles-based artist will create a series of digital works that reflect the season and her creative aesthetic.
