Don't Cut Down Our Tree

They claim to protect these trees under treaties, but in reality, they’re secretly cutting them down, renaming them, and exporting them.
This has been going on with impunity for the past half-century.
There are trees that are not only extremely rare but also beneficial to humanity. Even if we ban their export under treaties after they’ve been extensively logged, it’s impossible to tell them apart once their names have been changed.
As a result, there are many cases where people use these trees without even knowing what species they are.
If you search the world for alternative materials, you’ll find trees of the same species.
They’re cut down, and then protected by treaties again.
It’s a never-ending cycle. These trees don’t reach commercial value until they’ve grown for 150 to 200 years. It’s no wonder people lose the will to plant new trees. By that time, there probably won’t be many humans left.
