Dollar Reaches 3-week High
Description
The dollar is holding at a 3-week high after improved retail sales figures for the United States increased investor confidence. The Euro also moved into better territory at around $1.18. August’s increase in retail sales was unexpected, rising 0.7%, and a business sentiment survey also returned positive results. Additionally, the dollar improved against the Japanese yen to 109.99, and the Chinese yuan is trading at 6.4526 to the dollar. Finally, the British Pound fell 0.1% to $1.3784.
