Description

A Swedish study published earlier this month found that people who drank two or more servings of soda and other sugary drinks per day had a higher risk of gallbladder and biliary tract cancers than those who abstained from drinking soda. Additional research published in March found that people who ate the highest amount of foods high in simple carbohydrates like white bread, potatoes, and white rice were more likely to get lung cancer than those who ate the least. Food with natural sugar and complex carbohydrates provide vitamins, minerals, and nutrients, as well as calories. Sodas, sweets, and white bread, on the other hand, only provide calories.
