Description

India is the biggest recipient of British aid, with £1 billion spent between 2003 and 2008 through the Department of International Development (DFID). This is the first in a series of short films about the DFID in India, shot by Eshwarappa M and Richard Whittell during a trip to parts of the country affected by British money. Their experience meeting people whose lives have been directly affected by DFID activities did not tally with the claims made for British aid by the DFID's publicity. See http://www.corporatewatch.org.uk/?lid=3513 for an introduction to the series. Voiceover by Joanna Christie Music by Tom Rogerson
