Doctor testifies Jackson killed himself, Adele to have surgery
Description
The defense wrapped their questioning of their final witness on Friday (October 28) in the involuntary manslaughter trial of Dr. Conrad Murray. Anesthesiologist and propofol expert Dr. Paul White told jurors that he believes Michael Jackson gave himself a dose of propofol which - combined with the propofol and other drugs Murray had already given him - is what killed him. The prosecution will begin their cross examination next week.
Adele continues to have vocal problems and will now have a surgery on her throat. The singer has canceled all tour dates and promotional appearances for the rest of the year. Columbia Records announced that Adele will have the surgery "to alleviate the current issues with her throat." A full recovery is expected.
Charlie Sheen will return to television in summer 2012 in his new series, "Anger Management" on FX. The new sitcom had been previously announced but had yet to find a network. It sees Sheen playing an anger management therapist who causes chaos in his patients' lives by using unconventional methods.
Finally, tragedy struck the set of the "The Expendables 2." A stuntman was killed in Bulgaria while filming an action sequence for the movie. Another was injured and is reportedly in stable condition. It's unclear if any of the big stars in the film - including Sylvester Stallone and Bruce Willis - were on set during the accident.
