Do Tampons Expire?
Description
While tampons seem like they last forever, most tampons expire five years after their manufacture date. According to Business Insider, what’s more important than the date is how you store them. Storing them incorrectly can increase the risk of growing mold and bacteria. If you use old tampons they could change the pH of the vagina and lead to vaginal odor discharge and infections. Tampons should be stored in a cool, dry environment, not a humid area like your bathroom.
