Let us for a second try to hide
Behind the curtains of this gloomy night
Let us pretend that what we have is wide
And not end all of it with just another fight

Let’s try to make it work this time
Let us pretend that all we had is in the past
Open up a new page for the first time
Hoping that this time it will last

But yet we know that soon we’ll break it
This vase can only hold one rose
The water in it cannot take it
It’s now as black as the last bruise from your last dose
