Diva Fly Named For Beyonce

An Australian horse fly with a golden patch on its abdomen is now known as the Scaptia Beyonceae Fly. The fly was first collected in 1981, the same year Beyonce was born. Although it's considered the "all-time diva of flies," it is also known for being a pest. Maureen Aladin doesn't think this is very complimentary to the singer.
