Disney DIY: Aurora Costume

Hello everyone! I had thought that my Disney DIY Costumes would only be a halloween thing, but there have been requests for more! I read all my comments and I know that there have been specific costumes requested and I promise that those are on my to-do list! I have some fabric ready for a few princess costumes that I want to use up before buying new fabric! Thank you so much for watching these videos, and stay tuned for more Disney DIYs!\r

You Will Need:\r
-Dark Pink Fabric (could be dark blue)\r
-Light Pink Fabric (could be light blue)\r
-A Pink Tank Top (could be blue)\r
-White Craft Foam\r
-Scissors\r
-A ruler\r
-Velcro\r
-Pins\r
-Needle\r
-Thread\r

If your going to be making this without sewing here are my suggestions:\r
-Fabric Glue (if willing to wait for drying)\r
-Hot Glue\r
-Iron On Velcro\r
-Stitch Witchery (I LOVE THIS STUFF)\r

Directions:\r
1. I took 6 pieces of printer paper and taped them together. I then found my waist measurement, added 2 inches and then divided by 6.28. I put my ruler at the corner of my taped together printer paper and made marks at the number I got when I divided my waist measurement plus 2 inches by 6.28 all the way around in a quarter of a circle and then I connected the dots.\r
2. I decided how long I wanted my skirt and chose to make it 20 inches long. I repeated step 1 but using the length of my skirt instead of my waist measurement plus 2 inches divided by 6.28\r
3. I then cut out the template.\r
4. I took my dark pink fabric and cut a square that was the length of my skirt x 2 by the length of my skirt x 2, so my fabric was 40 inches long and 40 inches wide (because my skirt was 20 inches long)\r
5. I took this fabric and folded it in half so it was a rectangle and then folded it in half again so it was back to being a square. There should be one corner that only has folded over edges.\r
6. Place your template down on your fabric so the inner circle is facing the corner with only folded edges, then pin the template down and cut out your fabric.\r
6. Unpin your template and unfold your fabric, you should have what looks like a giant donut. Then cut your fabric so its no longer a donut but an un-straight line.\r
7. Cut another piece of your dark fabric that is about 6 inches wide and the length of your waist measurement plus 2 inches. Fold this in half and sew (or hot glue, fabric glue or stitch witch) it together. \r
8. Take your template and draw kind of three triangles on it. One triangle should be in the middle with two half triangles on the sides. Cut this out\r
9. Take your light pink fabric and repeat step 4-6 using the new template \r
10. Your light pink fabric should look like a stick figure drawing of the sun, cut this down the center of one of the triangles so its no longer a circle but an un-straight line.\r
11. Pin the light pink fabric on top of the dark pink fabric and sew (or hot glue, fabric glue, or stitch witch) them together. \r
12. Take the waist band and pin it down to the skirt, then sew (or hot glue, fabric glue, or stitch witch) them together.\r
13. Take your tank top and make it a sweetheart neckline if it isnt already (by cutting it or gathering it up and sewing it)\r
14. Take your craft foam and cut two squished half ovals\r
15. Pin the ends of the squished half ovals to the front center of the tank top, then sew them down (or hot glue).\r
16. Turn the tank top over and pin the other ends of the craft foam to the back of the tank top, and then sew them down (or hot glue).\r
17. With the remainder of your foam you can make Auroras crown and necklace and then cover them with gold duct tape. (or you could use yellow paper)\r

Your costume is done! Its super cute and was super easy to make!
