Disgraced ex-cop behind bars

Richard Mdluli may be behind bars but he believes he will have the last laugh. South Africa’s former Crime Intelligence boss was once thought to be an untouchable police officer. But on Tuesday, he was denied leave to appeal his conviction of assault and kidnapping, as well as his effective 5-year jail sentence.
