Description

They may not have a home, but they do have a voice.

A group of homeless people in California cast their ballot in the U.S. Presidential election Tuesday at the Anne Douglas Center for Women, a shelter in downtown L.A.

(SOUNDBITE) (English) CATHRYN SHIVERS, VOTER, ON WHY SHE VOTED, SAYING:

"I live out here but I don't want to live out here. I'm trying to do what I can. I'm part of the homeless."

(SOUNDBITE) (English) WILL SCOTT, VOTER, ON WHY THE HOMELESS SHOULD VOTE, SAYING:

"First of all, I think it's very important for them to go out there and vote so that you have a president who's going to eliminate this problem because nobody has any business being out there in the street, no matter who you are or what you did."

(SOUNDBITE) (English) CHESTER OSMOND, UNEMPLOYED VOTER, ON VOTING FOR MITT ROMNEY, SAYING:

"Well, Obama hasn't proven anything to us in the last four years. I think we need a change in office."

Results are trickling in across the country with Obama and Romney still running neck and neck.
