Description

Colorado is home to the National Sports Center for the Disabled. Started in 1970 to provide ski lessons for children with amputations, the NSCD has grown to host events with more than 3,000 participants each year. One unique group of guests travels all the way from the United Kingdom every year to learn how to ski.

The skiers come from Salveson Adaptive, a charity specializing in providing development opportunities for disabled teens. HooplaHa hit the slopes to learn more about Salveson Adaptive, the NSDC and talk to some of the program's participants to find out how this unique opportunity provides them with confidence, self-esteem, and smiles!
