"Dirty" Octopus Attaches Itself to Dolphin's Genitals
Description
Researchers with the Ionian Dolphin Project witnessed a rare courtship off the coast of Greece: an octopus had attached itself to a dolphin's genital slit. The dolphin jumped out of the water a few times to shake the octopus loose and swam away unharmed once he succeeded. Gillian Pensavalle has some consoling words for the rejected octopus.
