What is this life?
If full of care.
We have no time,
To stand and stare.

No time to dream.
No time to hope.
Life is passing by,
Faster than I can cope.

No time to see,
Dreams in the day.
And plan my future,
Shape it my way.

No time to watch,
Myself grow into a woman.
Burdened by expectations,
I am always on the run.

No time to admire,
The starry night.
I sit in a room,
Where my thoughts cannot take flight.

I yearn for the window,
Through which I could peek.
Catch a glimpse of the world,
I desperately seek.
