Dimitra Capelton - Drawing Hearts

Every time I draw a heart,
I feel like mine is being torn apart.

I may laugh and I may smile,
But that’s mostly because I’m in denial.

I might as well be drawing a knife,
One that I can use to end my life.

I often pretend to put a gun to my head,
But if I actually had a gun, I’d probably be dead.

I’m just sick and tired of it all,
I should find a cliff to jump off of and fall.

Because even if I meet my doom,
Life will go on and spring flowers will bloom.

So next time you see me draw a heart,
It’s mostly because mine is being torn apart.





***Side Note - i am NOT suicidal. these are just feelings not soon to be actions********
