Dilantha Gunawardana - War
4 Views • Jun 17, 2014
Description
Chameleons on two feet
Painting murals of dripping life
In abstract fauvism
As limbs float on sanguine puddles
As bamboo skin molts like jaundiced wax
Dwarfing even the genius of Matisse
For war is a behemoth creature
With gripping canines and fiery tongues
And if you look close enough
You may just see the shadow of Lucifer
Amidst the rising napalm
