Digitization will benefit consumers: TRAI Chief - NewsX

After causing consternation among telcos and broadcasters with the new digitization policy, the TRAI chairman has come out to explain why all stake holders stand to gain.J Sharma insists, the biggest beneficiaries of the digitization drive will be the consumers, with many more channels on the platter. Services like broadband, phone and TV, may all be rolled into one in the future. He also tried allaying concerns like placement and carriage fees.
