Description
The Federal Reserve is close to releasing the “Digital Dollar Report” which will explore the idea of a digital currency. Central banks across the world are concerned that digital currencies could cause them to lose control of their respective economies. As a result, the Fed and other banks are looking into creating CBDCs that act like cash but are distributed and controlled by central banks. The Fed has made no decision on the policy, but investors will likely react to the content of the report whether it be positive or negative.
