Devinder Singh Bhullar to be hanged

The Supreme Court finally decided today that delay in decision on the mercy plea of death row prisoner Davinder pal Singh Bhullar cannot be reason for commuting his death sentence into Life sentence.The court finally decided on the case filed by Punjab militant Devender Pal Singh Bhullar, who was convicted of killing nine people with a car bomb in Delhi in 1993. After he was given the death sentence by the Supreme Court, Bhullar had appealed to the President of India for mercy in 2003. His appeal was rejected in 2011.
