Detained Immigrants Separated From Children File Lawsuit
1 Views • Mar 10, 2018
Description
Migrants filed a class action lawsuit on Friday. They were separated from their children after being detained for illegally entering the United States. The suit says there are “hundreds” of parents in the same situation, and the Trump administration is violating their due process rights. The lawsuit expands on the claim of a single Congolese asylum seeker filed last week. She had been detained in San Diego while her 7-year-old daughter was sent to Chicago by federal authorities.
