Before there was me and you
The people around me were not being true
I surrounded myself with beings that were obsessed with unimportant materialistic necessities
I was unaware that it was possible for people to care about the complexities
Until there was you

Me and you
From the beginning you've always been ideal
Capable of providing me with my contentment with your personal appeal
Modest as you are
You’re my own personal variable star
Who brings more enchantment and beauty than the Syzygy
Now with you

Me and you
Could sit in silence for hours
Ignoring the world and all the insignificant creatures
Laughing at certain individuals who may resemble a troll
You can make a little bird house in my soul
You.

Without you
I’d seek oblivion
From all this detestation and anxiety surrounding me
When all it needed was us to create our own secret society
Filled with sunshine and only the hate of sobriety
All I really wanted to do was write the most perfect sonnet
About you, and your wonderful light
When all I really wanted to say was
You’re the only bee in my bonnet

This poem will never be enough
