Desiree Whitamore - huh?

'listen. don't love me. i'm not worth it. i won't change.'
he looked at her with weary eyes
trying to find out how she could handle the pain
when he told her his rehearsed lies.
but she didn't want to cry.


and if she could see what he saw
she'd never doubt her grace
and she saw nothing at all.
he loved her in the first place
he watched her falling face.

but he never forgot her.
even when he couldn't care
when he could do nothing but break
she saw that he was there
but she couldn't be repaired.
