Atopic dermatitis is a broad group of disorders that affects both children and adults. Among the most vulnerable children are those whose skin is too sensitive to various environmental factors and react to them by dryness and creation of eczema. The emergence of eczema among children is usually associated with allergic respiratory reactions such as rhinitis, bronchitis, asthma attacks. For some children, eczema occurs as a result of hypersensitivity to certain foods, usually cow's milk or eggs. However, scratching damages the skin barrier and opens the way for infection, warns Neil Niren MD. So they have to be treated, with the most important regularly grease-proof. In the treatment corticosteroid creams are used, and in severe cases of iimmunomodulatory creams and antihistamines. After 13 years of age with most of the patients the disease disappears but their skin stays dry, informs Dr Neil Niren MD.
