Denzel Washington flies high

Denzel Washington soars to new heights.

The actor teamed up with Melissa Leo for the premiere of their new thriller "Flight".

The film stars Washington as a pilot who saves nearly everyone on board a plane with a crash landing, but his heroic actions are quickly tarnished after rescue workers discover he'd been drinking before the botched flight.

On the red carpet Leo explained how the film's message resonated with her own theories on life.

"Flight" will land in U.S. theaters on November 2nd.
