Dennis Walker - A Weed

I am hated I am hunted, Trod upon and poisoned
When so very young ripped from my home
Cast down to shrivel and die
But I know life my kind are strong
The smallest plot of land and I will flourish
Taking life from the weaker things around me
I am quite happy to strangle the life from another so I can survive
We have our own beauty look upon us and you will see
Some admire our strength and leave us to grow
Some are lazy and just can’t keep us down
I know we run wild when given the chance
But don’t we deserve life haven’t we got a right of live? ! ! ! ! ! !
