Dennis Lambert - Intoxication

Let me drown within the folds of your rose
and fall again to die at that center,
like some drunken bee, heavy with you,
glistening from honey-spot nectaring,
and dizzy with that scented flower
thrusting sweet intoxication upon me
until I know nothing of time or place,
but only liquid passion flowing,
losing me in heavy-lidded, soul-sighing
ecstasy.
