Denise Bekker - ~~~~ The Brook ~~~~

A babbling brook I am,
definitely not a dam.
Along my way I chatter,
All day long I natter.

My water as clear as crystal.
I seem to keep in tune with a mistral.
Swishing along my way,
twirling, happy and gay.

Always happy and free.
I'm so glad to be me!
Having no time to waste,
I pick up my flow in haste.

Cascading through the meadow,
under the cherry tree's shadow.
Along my merry way I go,
I must continue in order to grow.

Sparkling water pure and sweet,
gushing forward, so much to meet.
There is much to consider,
to all forms of life I deliver.
