Demi Lovato Doesn't Like Being Called 'Bi-Polar'

Demi Lovato has been very open about her personal struggles but that doesn’t mean she wants to be attached to a label.

In fact, she doesn’t like it when people refer to her as being bi-polar.

Sure, it’s true and it’s something that she has, but as she put it during an interview on iHeartRadio, it’s something she has… no who she is.

She even addressed the suicide of the Linkin Park lead singer, Chester Bennington, saying it’s an unfortunate situation but hopes it can raise the topic into conversation around mental illness and mental health.

So how does deal with it all?

She does jiu jitsu.

Demi explained that she started training MMA and fell in love with the sport and it takes her mind off things… she’s even pretty good at dating professional fighters.

Either way, it’s nice to hear her talk about the issues that matter and to let everyone know that is more than just a label.
