Delta Air: Surging Travel Demand
Description
Delta Air Lines reported its highest-ever quarterly revenue and earnings, defying concerns of an economic slowdown. Delta's net income for the quarter reached $1.83 billion, marking the highest since the fourth quarter of 2013. The airline reported adjusted revenue of $14.61 billion, up 19% from last year's period and exceeding analysts' estimates. Delta increased its 2023 earnings forecast to an adjusted $6 to $7 per share. The second quarter saw solid international travel demand and premium seating like first class, contributing to the airline's impressive performance. The airline expects robust international demand and a gradual recovery in corporate travel bookings.
