Delilah Miller - Eventually, always is

It's not too 'poetic' but it's what I was thinking in my head and as much as some sanctimonious, impractical writers would pretend, I don't think in poems

Teeth pull the words back;
I've just bit my tongue!
That means I'm using a measure of tact.
A minute ago, I KNEW had you, stutter and sigh;
we were edging around fun.
And I was thinking, wow,
Won't you be mine?
And now,
your hand is warm, calloused fact.
Such an unpredictable, calm guy.
Eventually I'll be all yours.
