It's a mystery
why I ever caught your attention
I never thought myself as beautiful
as remarkable, as amazing
and yet you tell me everyday
I am

So long a time
I believed something so different
ridiculed by many
shunned by the rest

But now that I have you
it is so much different
my head once again held high
showing who I really am

It doesn't matter what others think
not anymore
Your words are all I need
your touch is all I feel
My smile is only for you

Because when you tell me
I'm beautiful
remarkable
amazing
I believe you
as I hope you believe me
when I say the same

Because it is the truth
At least in my opinion
