'Defections' in Syrian army reported

Al Jazeera's Rawya Rageh is monitoring developments in Syria from Cairo because Al Jazeera has been banned from the country.

She reports that there have been defections in the Syrian Army, as the crackdown against anti-government protesters continues.

Rageh also says that opposition activists say as many as six people have been killed by security forces in different parts of the country on Monday.
