On her journey through Xibalbá, Deeri will discover the strength of her spirit in an emotionally charged quest as she defends herself against the gods of the Maya underworld.

Deer Crusade is a journey of exploring, fighting, and solving puzzles to collect the fragments of a gem that will return you home, you can get powers and abilities that will make your way easier but to get them you will have to be very skilled.

Set in the mysterious, dark, and dangerous Maya underworld; Deer Crusade is a 2D single-player video game that combines elements from genres like Metroidvania, side-scrolling, and Roguelike, along with a puzzle-solving system that must be tackled to progress through different levels.

With a gripping and mysterious storyline, stunning hand-drawn artwork, and a mesmerizing soundtrack, Deer Crusade will sweep you away into a world of pure magic.


Story

Deep in the night, among the shadows of the dark forest, lies Deeri, a brave Maya girl with an indomitable spirit. On her way back home, her heart is captivated by a mysterious figure that seems to have unleashed a tragedy upon a majestic deer. Moved by curiosity, Deeri approaches the dying body of the animal, and in that instant, a supernatural aura materializes before her. It is Pathán, one of the lords of Xibalba, the enigmatic plane where lost souls roam after their Earthly departure.

The deer, which Deeri has found, is none other than the avatar of Manik, the sacred spirit of the deer. Before his departure, Manik, in his search to find a suitable vessel, entrusts Deeri with a magical stone of indescribable power. But fate seems to be veiled in shadows, as Pathán's malevolent energy corrupts the gem, shattering it and casting a curse upon the brave young girl. Deeri is inexorably transported to an unknown world, an unfathomable place called Xibalba, where the hope of returning home and restoring the balance between both realms hangs by a thread.

In this realm torn by darkness, Pathán has plunged certain souls into corruption, granting them malevolent powers and transforming them into monstrous creatures that threaten the peace of the plane. But amidst this desolation, Deeri, imbued with the spirit of Manik, wields a divine horn turned into a sword and embarks on an epic journey through the labyrinth of Xibalba.
