Deep Mukherjee - Light

When the lamp is shattered
The ethereal light lies in shed;
When the dreams are scattered
The spirit of beautitude lies dead.
Love, in the tyranny of the merciless king
Wafted far distant on apathy's wing;
Still, amid the dreary desert of silent vice
See a few of you, in endless wait for sun-rise.
A rythm divine to bind us to the Earth
Spite of despondence of the inhuman dearth;
Mingling the sacred song of humanity
Through the hands of thou will come sanity.
When the sun is hidden
Let your spirit show the light
From unnurtured soil of fertile dreams
The eternal innocence will wing it's flight.......... :)
