Dee Daffodil - Not For Me

Sometimes, a conscious effort must be made
To remind myself a poem is not for me
When I read them..they appeal to my heart
And let me feel the way I'd like to be

So...I tell myself to analyze instead
And read the poem for interest sake alone
Still...I can't help but wonder once or twice
If the poet knows my heart just like their own
