Description
She was rounding the bend
On the wooded path
Listening to 'Nora Jones'
When it hit her that something was wrong
Literally- it hit her!
The first blow to the side of her head
Knocked her off her feet
And she felt dizzying sickness immediately
He hadn't struck her hard enough
For her to lose consciousness
After all
Where was the fun in that?
As she gathered her wits
And retrieved her night vision
She began to make sense
Of what had just happened
In the split second that she was down,
He had taped her wrists
Behind her back
Arms useless to fend him off
Through darkness, she struggled
To see her attacker
When she could make out his sillouette
She waited and then kicked with all her might
Thud!
She knew she had made contact
But not sufficient enough to do much damage
Perhaps once more...
'Naughty little Bitch! ! '
She froze,
Because while she hadn't recognized him
That voice had haunted her for years
'Did you really think
That I wouldn't come after you?
After you so sweetly
Ruined my life? ?
'I don't know what--'
Duct tape slapped across her mouth
Fear settled itself into the pit of her belly
And for the first time, she realized how cold she was...
