There's one thing
That I know
With utmost certainty...

I can be having the crappiest...
Feel sorry for myself...
Want to beat up the world...
Kind of day

And all it takes...
Is one little signal
From my body...
The loss of vision in one eye...
To make me sit down and take notice! !

Yup...this I can say for sure!
A simple trip to the hospital
Was enough to
Make me feel pretty darned lucky
To be alive! !
