Debra Kay Robinson - Daddy
7 Views • Jun 16, 2014
Description
Sorting it out in the privacy of my silence
I remember—
Is it one I ever really had?
In judgment of life
Your words slashed deeply
Whose scars are visible only to me
Now the measure of my own personal convictions.
This feeling inside
I don't know what it means
An emptiness calling
Denied your consideration or reply.
I don't know what I've done
Or what I have to do
For all my thoughts, prayers, hopes and dreams
Never knowing…
Can't you love me anyway?
Remember daddy
No matter who I am
Or what I am
I am of you
If you don't love me
I won't know how to love.
If you don't love me
I won't know being loved.
