Description

The wilderness beckons, through leaves the wind rustles
The paths overgrown, with the weeds' intricate puzzles.
A glistening shade of blue, the bird overhead flaunts
The bejeweled gurgling stream, the rocks near taunts.

The sun is playful too, with his alternating realms of shade
A canopy of the foliage green, for the monkeys specially made.
The stream a river reaches, intermingles in an embrace close
An innocent deer peacefully drinks, in a very endearing pose.

The sun goes down at dusk, exhausted with his day,
The moon and his starry courtiers, arrive to have their say.
The King Supreme awakens, befalls a silence deep
The timid prey panics, slinks behind in a heap.

The fright of the lion, is embedded in the forest's soul
Not a trace of protest heard, as the deer is engulfed whole.
An eerie aura the moon sheds, assisted by the screeching owl
Amidst the terrorized inhabitants, the King continues his prowl.

The stream now quiet, looks on- a spectator mute,
The strong always win, the unwritten law absolute
A new day dawns in full splendor, life as always continues
Behind the resplendent glory of the forest, reside its ever-changing hues.
