What inspires one to act upon a thought
To bring forth creativity a moment once brought
Is it a scent, flavor, color or an emotion
Can the touch of a loved one tap into devotion

Does the heart play a role in remembering sound
Can the mind recall pictures of memories found
The past, the future and even today
All have parts to inspire in their own little way

What you see, what you want and hear
The smiles and laughter, even the fallen tear
All can create feelings to write down and share
Inherited from history, my rhyming is rare
