Debris littered the beach at Carpinteria State Beach on Tuesday, January 9, after deadly storms swept through the area. According to Noozhawk</a>, 1.76 inches of rain fell in three hours in Carpinteria.
The Los Angeles Times reported</a> that 13 people died due to the storm, and more than 20 were injured.
