Dead Inside - Alone Inside

A girl tired of being a friend without a friend
started to cut and started to shut up
she stopped smiling
and she stopped laughing

only to stare at her feet
never trying to speak
She hid in her room
the one parents called a tomb

Then came the letters of hate telling her to die
and all her friends would not listen as she began to cry
her parents then noticed cuts upon her wrists.
They told that's why everyone wanted her gone
they told her she could never form a bond.

Now here she is today
a girl on the run
roll up her sleeves
and you will see
just what she’s running from

A girl once with dreams now shattered and scared
If you would have asked 10 years before
she would have told you a long life to come
but now she stands before you
wishing she was dead
and not all alone in her head
