Description

Everybody’s talkin’, talkin’,
In their cars and while they’re walkin’,
Constant blab in all directions-
No privacy, and no discretion!

There’s no silence anymore
‘Cause we always have to know the score;
So afraid I might end up alone,
I’ve always got my mobile phone.

Got five ringtones, one for homies,
Alarm and message, email, roamies,
One that tells me it’s my mother—
Get bored? Hey, just download another!

Always getting information
In the cell phone generation;
Ooh, I love this innovation,
But I got some aggravation—
There’s no time for contemplation,
Or even finishing a conversation!

Beeping on the other line
Got to be a friend of mine—
Oh my gawd, what a bummer,
How’d he get my cell phone number?

Got an iPhone, it’s so cool,
Gotta show my friends at school;
Turn off in class is the rule,
So we’ll just be texting, fool!

Got a message, it says “Hi! ”
It’s so important to reply,
Say anything, it doesn’t matter,
The point is to keep up the chatter—
“Back at ya’! ”—hey, it isn’t dumb,
The message is the medium!

Check my email, text them back,
Send some photos to my Mac;
Got a voicemail, let’s touch base—
Wow! Let’s do it face to face!
