David Thomas - Adieu

I sit on high
waiting long for time to come
the time of times, when the time does run
no more. i feel the ghosts
the ever present beings of times past,
they torment me, dance circles around my skull.
that my nature is unsuitable at best
despairingly despair at worst
they kid me of life once had
and of the loves let go- they're mad.
listening to ghostly wales
of these creepy ghost tales
i see what i would say to be
the bittersweet white and gray
of simply you and me.
